- Prelude/Seating music Ceremony Package Plus - $325 Following your ceremony, create a wonderful ambiance during cocktails or dinner with the sound of the classical guitar. This package includes the ceremony service and one hour of social music. --- Ceremony music tips Commonly in wedding ceremonies, music is required for four main parts of the ceremony: - Prelude/Seating music In addition, many couples request additional music for certain points of the ceremony, such as candle-lighting, rose exchange, or a wine ceremony. Prior to the ceremony proper, a period or 15-30 minutes of light classical music is performed as the guests are being seated. It is best for this period not to exceed 35 minutes, as many guests begin to seat themselves once the music begins.--- Processional Music - Entrance processional of the wedding party Music chosen for the processional should provide a steady pulse at walking tempo. The bride may choose to have a spearate piece of music for her own processional aside from the wedding party, or chose to have one piece for the entire party. Visit the sounds page for examples of common processional music. The guitarist will require a clear visible cue from a non-participant in the wedding party. The wedding coordinator, assistant or a ceremony guest are excellent choices. A clear hand signal with clear eye contact, as well as a 'five minute warning' processional cue. --- Signing of the Registry During the signing of the registry, it is common to provide romantic music during this period. Traditional pieces such as "Air on a G string," or Ave Maria" are popular choices. The bride may chose to have a contemporary piece performed during the signing. ---Recessional Music - The wedding party recessionalResessional music should be upbeat and jubilant, setting the mood for the celebtation to follow. Often, non-traditional contemporary songs are used for this purpose with great effect. Guests will likley depart immediately or very soon after the wedding party to reception area. This is the last piece of music for the ceremony. Please check out the sounds page for examples of recessional music selections. |
